The Knowledge Network for Autonomous Systems
The market for autonomous systems is set to grow considerably. Applications range from the depths of the oceans to the furthest reaches of space and in-between include air, road, land and the built environment. The MARVIN Knowledge Network has been created to provide the UK Knowledge Base and UK Industry with the ability to build a strong position to take advantage of future growth in this exciting market.
Main Objectives
- To create a framework for the exchange of intellectual know-how, requirements and information relating to the technologies, products, applications, customers and markets for Autonomous Systems and their associated technologies.
- To encourage effective cross-sector fertilisation of applicable research, technologies and products.
- To identify the threats and opportunities relating to autonomous systems and to provide strategic advice and the road map for investment for government.
- To promote the exploitation of science and technology through the active participation of innovative organisations.
- To contribute to the attractiveness of science and engineering which will ultimately expand the availability of skills in high performance engineering and technology and to enable their effective application in new products and services.
- To identify, launch and manage high-quality, collaborative research programmes focused on industrial priorities.
